At Attleboro-Cumberland Oral Surgeons, we strive for continual pursuit of excellence. Dr. Mark Schenkman’s mission is to provide safe, compassionate and efficient state of the art oral and maxillofacial surgical and anesthesia services.
Dr. Schenkman graduated from The State University of New York in 1989 with a B.S. Biology, went on to earn his D.D.S. degree from The University of Maryland, in Baltimore, Maryland in 1994. From Maryland he crossed country to California to be part of a private practice in Napa, California from 1995-1997. While in California, Dr. Schenkman earned his General Practice Residency Certificate at the V.A Medical Center in Sepulveda, CA.
While in private practice he became a contract dentist to the USAF at Travis AFB in California. Where he provided outpatient dental services for personnel assigned to Travis AFB and surrounding San Francisco area as civilian contract dentist.

1999 Dr. Schenkman became an Associate Clinical Professor at the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene in Boston, MA where he established an externship at Hanscom AFB, instructed students and maintained quality assurance program for clinic. 1997-2001 USAF Hanscom AFB, General Dental Officer, provided outpatient dental services for personnel assigned to Hanscom AFB and surrounding New England Area. Infection control officer, Continuing Education Officer, Dental Records Monitor, Coordinate Dental rating and special duty Personnel Program to ensure forces are immediately deployable and combat ready. Provided I. V. sedation and oral surgery services for Hanscom Dental Clinic. Also became an Associate Clinical Professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Restorative Dentistry Dept, Operative Division, Boston, MA 1999-2001. Clinical Instructor for general dentistry evening clinic supervision 3rd and 4th year dental students. Dr. Schenkman received his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Certificate from Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. in 2005.
Moved to Massachusetts in 2005, started at Attleboro Cumberland Oral Surgeons 8/05, associated until 2007 and bought Attleboro practice that same year.
Outside of the office Dr. Schenkman is a father of 4 wonderful children, 3 boys and a little girl. He enjoys his time with his children. He is also an avid sports fan, leading his fantasy football league. And is a technology aficionado.
