Dr. Mark D. Schenkman earned his Bachelor of Science degree at State University of New York at Albany and received his Doctorate (D.D.S.) from the University of Maryland at Baltimore.
He completed a General Dentistry Residency at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Sepulveda, California and completed his Oral Surgery Residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia.
To assure that he stays up-to-date on all the latest advancements in his field, Dr. Schenkman maintains membership in a number of prestigious professional organizations including: the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Rhode Island Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Rhode Island Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Massachusetts Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Greater Woonsocket Dental Society of which he is a past president.
